I am new to the forum. I am an avid reader, and have dabbled in ebooks since the late 1990s, always on a pda or computer. Currently I use my iPhone for ebooks, but may receive a Kindle for a present. We shall see. I use stanza right now as my primary reader, but also Kindle for the iPhone.

I received my Sony 700 as a Christmas present. It was one of the best presents I've ever gotten!! Don't be shy about asking questions when they pop-up, and they will.

Ask a heap of questions, check out the furums and compare the currently available products and see the goodies planned for the next quater or two.... But if you can obtain a Kindle for a present, I'd be doing that, too...Maybe if you don't like it you can organise a swap with something more up-your-alley with a Member here!

Either way, you'll find great support and friendly, helpful (and interesting) people here....
