Access to OPF

Kovid,
The new version works great. I havent had an instance of it wandering off into a lockup as the earlier version did from time to time.

When saving to disk, the target file (epub, lrf, etc), the cover.jpg and the OPF is also saved. Which brings me to my point.

Is it, or can it be possible to gain access to the OPF prior to generation so that other entries, e.g. TOC and start reading and first page, can be inserted into the mobi version?

I am a fan of mobi and would like to use calibre for all formats.

No, not really, but calibre output MOBI files should have a working TOC link anyway.

I am aware of the TOC link in the output of Calibre MOBI. It was merely an example. The OPF file seems to be of no use, so why save it?

The OPF file contains all the metadata stored in the calibre database for that book, thats why it's saved. If you dont want it saved, you can tunr it off by Preferences_>Add/Save
