You cannot read Kindle books on a Sony Reader unless you strip the DRM and convert them to a different filetype, which is a rather complicated procedure. The Sony PRS-505 reads LRF, LRX, PDF, ePub, TXT, and RTF files. It doesn't read Mobi, PDB, or LIT files; those would need to go through a converter.

You can't buy Amazon Kindle books unless you have a Kindle, or maybe an iPhone/iTouch.

You can't delete books from the Sony screen; you need to connect to the computer for that. You can either use a library program like Sony's or Calibre, or delete the books using Windows explorer.

actually you can delete books from the sony without a computer. Go into the menu for the book you wish to delete and "delete book" is under option 8 "Utilities"
