Author Sort format

I wish to regenerate the metadata in a set of epub books that use the following filename format.

author_lastname, author_firstname - title.epub

for example,
Scott, Sir Walter - Anne of Geierstein.epub

The desired metadata is,
title = Anne of Geierstein
author = Scott, Sir Walter
author sort = Scott, Sir Walter

I can get the desired title and author metadata by unchecking the "read metadata from files" box, and then adding the book with the regular expression,
(?P<author>,+) - (?P<title>[^_]+)

But the author sort metadata is created as,
Walter, Scott, Sir

I have spent some time looking for a solution in the Calibre User Manual but haven't found one. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

There isn't an automated solution, you have to manually edit the author sort

An automated solution would have been nice but manually editing works. Thanks for the reply, and thanks for Calibre!

Any chance of some automated solution to this in the future? This is absolutely driving me nuts and is almost a deal breaker. Why in the world can't I sort the authors' names by the way they are displayed? Editing the metadata in a couple thousand ebooks is not an option.

Calibre 0.6.6 no longer "inverts" the author sort field if it contains a comma, so an author of "Scott, Sir Walter" will stay that way. I don't know if that will be any help or not.

I'm running 0.6.6. I'm pretty much giving up on Calibre until there's a grown-up release of at least 1.0. I'm too old to put up with this level of frustration in my life.

I do not ever see it getting to a 1.0 release (or at least not for a very long time). With most software packages they would probably be calling it the 6.6 release rather than the 0.6.6 one
