Greetings

I'm thinking about getting an eReader, found this site right off, and am now suffering information overload. I want to read classics, mostly (i.e. public domain), but I also need to be able to read Cyrillic fonts. Classical Greek would, I suppose, be too much to ask.

Thanks!

Welcome to MobileRead, cinnabar!

I'm glad you found MR! I know the information can be overwhelming but there are many people here who can help point you in the right direction towards a reader that best fits your needs. Don't hesitate to ask questions and check out the dedicated reader forums. I wish I could help with your questions on special character reading, but I'm strictly an English reader. Good luck.

Happy reading.

Welcome! I don't know about the Cyrillic fonts...I would think that the Sony reader could do it. I recommend you ask in that forum: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=100

Hi Cinnabar and welcome to MR

Reading classics is what I like to do too. I've downloaded almost all of the ones on my Kindle from right here at MR. The people here tend to do a really good job of formatting the books.

I ended up getting the EZ Reader. I haven't tried anything much with it yet, it just arrived.

Well, good luck with it, and be sure to ask more questions if you have them. I'm sure someone around here will know the answers.

Hello Cinnabar -- and welcome to MobileRead. Congratulations on your purchase of the EZ Reader. I was taking a look at it over the 4th of July weekend, but decided I didn't really need a third book reader right now.

If you like classics, you have time to jump into this month's book club reading of Three Men in a Boat. You can download the Mobipocket or ePub version to read on your EZ Reader.

Hi, Elsi! I was looking at the announcement of open submissions for August and thinking that might be fun.

As to July -- well, I suppose we all have our failings. I've never been able to get into Three Men in a Boat, although it's been highly recommended. Oh, well...
