Hello I'm new to this site. I just got my kindle 2 today and have been "searching" for different things. I just downloaded mobipocket but have no idea how to use it yet....LOL. Well its nice to meet everyone!

Sorry I can't help with mobipocket questions, but there are a LOT of nicely-formatted (and legal) books that you can download from right here on MR. Choose mobipocket format (.prc) files.

There are also a lot of very knowledgeable and friendly people hanging out around here. You'll get lots of advice and suggestions. If you don't get the answers you need here in "Introduce Yourself", try one of the more technical forums, like https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=140

If you've downloaded Mobipocket Creator, that's the right program to use to convert all sorts of files into a format for use on your Kindle.

Don't miss the mobipocket ebooks section here at mobileread. All the Mobipocket ebooks will work well on your Kindle. Just download the mobipocket guide from here: https://www.mobileread.com/mobiguide and put it on your kindle - you'll then be able to download any of the ebooks on Mobileread directly to your Kindle (or so I'm told)
