Cheap and simple cover for Sony 505

Hi, Reading some of the posts on the forum made me think better of just tucking my Sony Ebook into my pocketbook without any protection.

Until I come up with something fancier, this will work great!
I purchased a Case Logic netbook sleeve on clearance for $7

Then, I cut it in half. It will now protect both of our books.
I haven't decided if I'll even finish the edges in time...

I did the same sort of thing to protect my reader. In fact, I used two different rubber-type materials and made it with the option of using one or the other, or both together for really bomb-proof protection. Small, it fits into an inside pocket of my daily carry bag, but would fit into the leg pocket of cargo pants if wanted.

There are so many great protector 'pockets' made for small notebook computers these days that are just the right size for the Sony 505 with only a little modification with a pair of scissors and perhaps a dab of glue needed to adjust the fit. A quick look in a large computer supply shop will give access to some creative ideas. My cover adds less than 1/2 inch to the dimensions of the reader (in its own leather cover) and with the open top on mine, the reader can be removed or replaced with just one hand. I'm waaaay too lazy to use a cover that requires unzipping, unstrapping, unlatching, etc., for daily usage. These foam or neoprene pockets are just the ticket!

Very good idea- I was thinking amongst the lines of using this kind of base (a neoprene netbook sleeve) but I didn't find the right size, of course. Thanks!
