Acer n300 Pocket PC with WM 5.0 and Wide-VGA (update)
![]()
The 3.7 inch screen looks wider than that of other VGA-capable Pocket PCs which is probably why Gizmodo dubbed it the Acer Widescreen. Update: InfoSync picked up the news. |

Gosh, this looks sexy. If I need to replace my Zodiac2, I might have to look at this device. The new Dell Axim was the front runner, but I like how this Acer is smaller (shorter) and not much wider, but has the gigantic screen.
How much extra is USB 2.0? Shouldn't it be the standard by now? I can't imagine it costing much more than USB 1.1, but maybe Acer got a greater volume discount on these USB 1.1 modules from the manufacturers' supreme overstock. And somehow that extra savings trickles down to me, but I'd still like the 2.0 speed for data transfers. I think that Missing Sync for Windows Mobile is probably mature, so hopefully I wouldn't suffer too much if I switched over to WM. Unfortunately for my "gadget addiction", the Z2 is pretty well-built and the odds of it dying suddenly seem small. But, if ever the digitizer ever goes south like my old T|3, old MR. Z2 turns into the gaming device and I jump all over this new Acer. POL9A Last edited by Pride Of Lions; 09-20-2005 at 12:39 PM. |
