Post Hi all
Purchased my Sony Reader yesterday & was lead to this site by Chis (C6rew) & looking to pick up tips and he recommended using Calibre as the better software & places to find books.

Hope I can be worthy contributer once I get past my provisional licence

Welcome to MR, Peter.

Have fun learning about ebooks and the various devices out there. I have the 505 and absolutely love it. I don't have to buy books only from the Sony store. The 505 uses also uses lrf (non- DRM'd version of the lrx) and epub nicely. Installing ADE will allow borrowing library books (epub and pdf) for the 505.

There are various threads discussing the how to do whatever and what to do if this or that happens. The search function on MR has become my friend along with the Wiki at the top of the page.

Thousands of ebooks are on this site for free. They were beautifully hand-formatted by the members on MR. Just look up to the blue bar, click on the drop down menu arrow and choose either the Sony (BBeB) lrf or the epub format. We are getting more and more added in the epub but, right now there are more ebooks in the lrf format.

Ask questions if you need to. There are many very helpful members on MR, and the more that you learn the more that you will be able to help another newbie someday.
