Hello from Springfield, MO

Hi, I recently received a Kindle from my very generous Sister and I'm looking for suggestions on which books to start with, etc.

I'm going on vacation next week and I can't wait to take my Kindle with me.

Thanks,
dreaminmo

Welcome to MobileREad, dreaminmo.

You could start with some of the great books we have here free for the taking. Look under the "ebook" tab, and you'll want the mobipocket format.

You can sort by Author, Genre or Title.

My own personal favorite?

"The Complete Sherlock Holmes"

Enjoy!

Congrats on your kindle!! I'm going on a two day trip today and I'm thrilled to finally be taking my sony out for a spin. With a few hundred books on there, I think I'll have enough reading material for the overnighter.

Enjoy browsing MR's great collection of books!

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome. I took my Kindle on a two week vacation and read three books. Charybdis by K. A. Thompson, Jack & Jill by James Patterson, and Receive Me Falling by Erika Robuck. I enjoyed them all very much. Mostly I enjoy a good mystery.
