Hello, everyone!
New kid on the block here. To this group and to e-books too!
I was given a Sony 505 as a gift last month, and so far, haven't let it get beyond my reach! I love it! I hope I can learn a lot more about e-books here, and about other ways to enjoy my reader. So far it's been a wonderful addition to my life. I like to read every day, reading mysteries, adventure, biographies, philosophy, and cultural anthropology. Throw in some thrillers and I'm a happy fellow! ![]() |

Hello -- welcome to MobileRead. It's a great place and filled with people who enjoy reading and who like electronic book readers. I have both a Kindle and a Sony 505 and I don't want to be without either one.
On my Sony 505, I'm just about to finish a book I purchased at Fictionwise. Ashes to Ashes is a mystery novel by Lillian Stewart Carl and has been a very enjoyable read. I'm buying the sequel tonight. |

Wow! How lucky you are...I sure wish someone had GIVEN me my 505...I had to fork over the money, but it was money well spent, so I can't complain! I have had mine for 2 months and I'm still in awe. I'm learning new things everyday. This is an awesome forum.

It sounds like you'll be able to find lots of books you'll enjoy reading here - I've downloaded lots of free books from here and Project Gutenberg. I've bought a few books as well, but I've loved finding all sorts of books that I probably wouldn't have thought of buying on this forum.
If you look on the 505 threads you'll find lots of readers who agree with you about the 505 as well! |

Welcome!! Isn't that the best gift ever?? It seriously ranks up there with the best present I ever received (although, since it came from my husband, I could argue I had to fork over the money for it as well, in a sense...).
I'm glad you're having a great time with it- welcome to the little corner of the web where we love to talk about it too ![]() |
