Video demonstrating WiFi hacking

WEP encryption is as dead as a dodo and you should know that by now. For reference purposes only, have a look at the third video on this site demonstrating how someone by generating fake traffic cracked a WEP-encrypted WiFi AP within ten minutes. To repeat the procedure, you need a PC, a wireless connection and WHAX (WHAX isn't really required, but it's a good Live-CD containing all the tools that were used in the video).

Aireplay (the tool to generate fake traffic) wouldn't work with my Intel 2100 Wlan card. OH well, so even if I hadn't upgraded my Wlan to WPA, it wouldn't have been much endangered by my "hacking" attempts

Looks like the videos are using some wacky non-standard codec, so nothing I have can play them. That's actually the first one out of literally thousands I've watched on various sites that had a problem.

It claims to be the "TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (win32) (tscc)", whatever the heck that is.

If people want others to actually see their content, it makes sense to use products that people already have, or can install easily. If not, try putting a "This website looks best on my computer in my house. Please stop by to see it." banner on your site.

Edit: I take that back, vlc can view them, but there is no sound. Ah well.

David did you try Mplayer? It worked for me. Windows user can download a mingw-compiled version of it:
