Bluescreen - PRS700 - VISTA SP2

Hello folks

yesterday I installed the new VISTA Service Pack 2
From that moment, everytime I plug in my PRS 700 I get a Bluescreen.

(Didn't have one for years)

Does anybody have the same problem or any idea to fix it?

thanks
mario

Where is it blue screening? Usually the blue screen lists a DLL module or process that crashed. That might help. It is probably somewhere in the USB driver... if so, you might want to see if there are updated USB or chipset drivers for your motherboard.

BOb

(BTW: I was going to say, get a Mac, but that wouldn't be helpful. Then again, uninstall SP2 might help.)

I installed Vista SP2 yesterday also. No problems when hooking up my PRS700.

yeah its probably a corrupted driver/dll file, your gonna need the info contained in the blue screen report. do a system roll back and it should fix it. or start reading how to cure bsods. it will require some tweaking.

Question to the original poster: do you get the same blue screen when you plug in any other external USB mass storage device - eg a memory stick?
