So do you seethe with HATRED for the Digital Reader?

According to flowoeB (here) a vast majority of people hate iRex and its products. Is that true of posters here?

(Yes, I know there's a word left out of Option 1 in the poll, it should read "I can't stand that evil device" Unfortunately, this board won't allow me to edit my own poll, nor can I report it to get help (doing so would be against the stated rules of reporting posts), NOR will it even tell me who to contact about editing it FOR me. So live with it.)

The premise of your poll - that flowoeB said "a vast majority of people hate iRex and its products" - does not appear to be validated by the link or the thread within which it lies.

I voted for option 1, seeing as I'm fond of apparent incoherence.

What do you hope to achieve with this thread, aside from "winning" that glory of glories, an argument on the internet?

Cheers,
Marc

Assuming that I "don't like it", why should one lead to the other?

I do not understand the purpose of this thread. I have not owned a DR1000s or any other IREX device. But I have certainly researched their devices and have given serious consideration to purchasing one. I chose not to purchase for various reasons.

I see no reason to ridicule FlowoeB for posting his thoughts on the device. But I am an advocate of holding manufacturers accountable for the Quality of their product.

And I have no problem with that. None at all. You make your choice with your money.

I don't believe anyone has ridiculed him personally.

I also believe manufacturers ought to be responsible for products they sell. But what I see from a vocal minority here is simple whinging about the product rather than any variety of responsible posting on the topic of the DR. Apparently from reading FlowoeB's posts, his device not only has every single bug that has ever been mentioned here other posters, it has several that he's the only to have mentioned. He seems to have completely ignored being told several times to open a Trouble Ticket (by me and others including Shaggy), which is certainly his right, but then proceeds to continue complaining about the problems with his device. I understand that yes, his device has issues that need resolution; constant complaints in this forum are not that resolution.

By your own admission, your goal is to win an argument, and specifically one against FlowoeB. You created this poll making specific reference to him, creating leading options within the poll, and ascribing words to him ("the vast majority of people") that your citations don't support. The motivation behind this poll would appear to be to aggravate a personal dust-up between you both.

It seems somewhat disingenuous, and certainly ironic, of you to create a specific thread and a mocking poll to continue and escalate disparagement of a single individual, to ascribe words to them that they do not appear to have made, to continue to complain about their actions here, and then to say "constant complaints in this forum are not that resolution". Your apparently frustrated "constant complaints" about FlowoeB would also not appear to be the resolution to your problem.

Is it any wonder that people question the poll's purpose?

Cheers,
Marc

All you have to do is post a request for any mod to change your wording. They do it all the time for legitimate requests.

@PhishStyx: i only said that 'i don't think so' - i said nothing about what enybody else is thinking because i don't know. so either you know what i am thinking or you have a very colorfull phantasy... or maybe it's a problem of causality? every footballplayer wears a helmet - so everybody who wears a helmet is a footballplayer?

btw - i didn't vote because it won't change how i think about my iRex

iRex DR1000S is the first e book reader for pdf with A4 size. And perhaps the only one.
I like it.
If there were something like iTunes that could help it become a good e book library also since it support 16G SD card.

Yes. 16G SD card works well in my DR1000S.

I only hope there were some softwares like iTunes to manage the thousands of PDFs easily. Functions such as lists, starring, labeling and so on.
Maybe there would be such softwares after the price decreases and more and more people use DR1000S.

Anyway, DR1000S is great for viewing PDFs already.
