PDF - LRF

I own a MacBook Pro and I am looking for a PDF to LRF converter similar to the one available on this forum for Linux and Windows, but for OSX.

Are there any out there?

Calibre will convert from PDF to LRF and is available for OSX you can find out more here if you haven't already seen anything about it.

I haven't actually used it for this and you might find more information in the calibre forum from people who've used it more than I have

Calibre is very BAD at PDF conversion. Try converting the PDF to DOC, or even better LIT first. Then convert it to LRF.

When you say, convert to DOC or LIT, are you referring to using Calibre for that? So, take the PDF in Calibre, convert to DOC/LIT in Calibre and then convert to LRF/EPUB in Calibre?

I've been reading PDFs just fine. Why the need to convert them? Does it look better?

Maybe I'm using Calibre wrong, but it kills the PDF when I convert from PDF to LRF or EPUB. The page breaks are not right. Without conversion, the PDF font is way too small and I can read it by making the font larger, but I'd like to conversion to run smoother.
