Kindle costs $185 to produce
Amazon.com has said little about the economics of its Kindle business, but a new study suggests that the profit margins on the e-reader device are likely generous -- and leave room for future price cuts.

Cost to produce is almost irrelevant to cost to buy.Things are priced what they will sell for, not what they cost. People still pay up to $15.99 for CD's that cost pennies to make.
