You've won a prize!!

Congratulations!! You've won a competition! First prize is a return trip in a time machine. It can take you forwards or backwards; you can participate in events or just watch.

Where and when would you go??

I would never go back to the past because "been there done that" (even if it was before my time). I would normally choose the future but as I get older I'm happy to stay in the present and let the future unfold at it's own pace.

I would give my prize away.

I'd like to go back and have more time to spend with my mom.

Where and when would you go, Dickon?

This is a question I often ask friends and new acquaintances and the answers are always fascinating. Going back to spend time with loved ones is a lovely answer and not one which has come up before. I don't want to predjudice any other posts which may come by giving some of the ones I've heard....
For myself, I'm a bit of a history buff and there are several events I'd like to visit to see what REALLY happened! My own favourite is King Richard III and the story of the two Princes, who he is supposed to have murdered in the Tower of London. Did he really do that? Or is that a classic example of the victor setting down the history (Henry VII)??

I would like to go back in time to the exact moment before seeing some particular women I've known in my life, and then whisper into that other me's ears "Noooooooo, walk away".

Karma for your thread.

I'd like to know who really killed JFK and why. And yes, I"ve heard ALL the theories. I just want to know the truth.

I like the idea of Alexandria and copying the books ....as if I didn't have a big enough 'To Read' list already!!
JFK is interesting. Even though it was filmed and there were masses of 'eye witness' accounts, we STILL don't know what really happened.

One friend answered this question by saying she wanted to travel to the future to see what the best-selling products were so she could start making them now and make her fortune early!!

Boy, have I ever thought of this one! <for me it was men> I use to think about this a lot! Then, as I became older I thought if I wished I'd said...

"Noooooooo, walk away".

I wouldn't have had my son.

I wouldn't have learned to fly a plane.

I wouldn't have repelled off a suspension bridge down to the river below (though, since I didn't have any place to put my feet on the way down, it was probably just hitching down a rope!)

etc....

So, like Daffy4u, I came to the same conclusion. I would give my prize away.
