I am a lurker that is trying to make a decision on whether to buy a Kindle or not.

I would welcome any responses on any pros and cons that there is out there.
Right now, I am battling my x-2 about there being some hidden costs out there because we are on a set income. However, I can see some real advantages to downloading some books rather than paying the full price for them.

All devices have pros and cons, just a matter of finding the right device for your specific needs.

No matter which device you decide upon there are thousands of out-of-copyright books, formatted specifically for most popular reading devices, that are free to download. Check out the ebook link near the top of the page to view what is available.

Also, since you are on a set income, some devices allow you to borrow ebooks from your public library. The ebooks have a time stamp of either 14 or 21 days and will automatically return itself upon expiration.

Thanks for the info. However, why should I pay the price for a paperback book and do not have that book for myself. It does not seem to be fair to me that I could do this and not own that booK?
