Media files in feeds?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm wondering...

Is there a way to get calibre to deal with attached media files in feeds properly? For example, the default onion feed looks at

http://feeds.theonion.com/theonion/daily

but doesn't grab the image files for the In Focus stats shot items. Similar, some feeds have attached audio files, and so on...

Any ideas?

Since I wrote the onion recipe this is my take:

Images - It would be a lot of work and I do not have time and desire to work on that.

Video or audio - not supported on most of devices and even if it where applies the comment for images.
