Last night I started a poll in the German forum to find out how many female users we have. I was wondering if there´s really a huge majority of men or if there are lots of female lurkers who are not posting (yet).

I´d like to ask the same question here: Are you female or male?

I'm a chap - and mightily relieved to be one after reading some of the other recent threads.

But it seems most people are happy to be the gender they are - one case of the grass always being greener on your own side of the fence.

well, i'm not sure that it *matters* per se, however i think it's interesting to see the percentage of women frequenting this forum since there is a stereotype that women are less interested in / capable with technology (which this forum, at least, would tend to argue against). i also think it's interesting that this particular tech seems to appeal quite a lot to people who might not have much interest in gadgets / tech in general. i wonder whether it's a sign of liseuses becoming more mainstream, which i believe they definitely are, or perhaps there are other factors to take into account. i do think it's an interesting question.

It doesn´t matter at all. There are very few women in the German forum (probably because of only a few female reading device users in Germany so far). And I think we have a lot of women in the international fora, but I have no idea if there´s still a real majority of men. It´s just interesting to find out and to compare the results.
