Default content on PRS500
Hello,
I was wondering if the content I found on my PRS500 is/was the default content everyone else gets on a new PRS500. (It was imported via eBay, alas - I am in Australia). To wit, (apologies to any authors who get their names misspelt!) Books: Title - Author 1984 - George Orwell Blue Dahlia (Excerpt) - Nora Roberts Cell (Excerpt) - Stephen King The Da Vinci Code (Excerpt) - Dan Brown Eldest (Excerpt) - Christopher Paolini Excavation - James Rollins Freakonomics (Excerpt) - Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner The Innocent (Excerpt) - Harlan Coben The Italian's Stolen Bride - Emma Darcy John James Audubon (Excerpt) - Richard Rhodes Operation Guide - Sony Corporation Peach Fuzz (Excerpt) - Lindsay Cibos & Jared Hodges Pride and Prejudice (Excerpt) - Jane Austen Unleash the Night (Excerpt) Sherrilyn Kenyon Vanguard, Book One - David Mack Winning (Excerpt) Jack Welch & Suzy Welch Audio: Title - Author - Album Sleepy Time - Jun-ichi Nagahara - Moonflower Waltz For Eddie - Jun-ichi Nagahara - Soundtracks for Life Pictures: Title Baby Family Lampposts -- From The West Wing: Leo: My generation never got the future it was promised... Thirty-five years later, cars, air travel is exactly the same. We don't even have the Concorde anymore. Technology stopped. Josh: The personal computer... Leo: A more efficient delivery system for gossip and pornography? Where's my jet pack, my colonies on the Moon? |

Those were for the 500. I'm curious, what was on the 505?

Well, if you take this list of books from a freshly purchased PRS-500 and strike out all (Excerpt) items, and then you strike out books you can get for free elsewhere - in a much nicer format and better proofreaded there will not remain much ....
For me personally, this bunch of examples was extremely useful. I have had a look at the format Sony is using - ridiculously wide margins, serif font, ... , and I have decided to get my books from elsewhere than Sony store ;-) |

This was my first introduction to Rolins (I've since oredered his fantasy work and am in the process of reading his first series). I really liked the novel, Excavation, and will probably order all his adventure novels when Sony makes them into a Bundle. Don |
