Yet another new member!

Hey--

So, after wandering over to the MobileRead Wiki several times over the past few months, I finally bothered checking out the forums here and getting an account.

About me... well, I'm a total ebook nut. I started out with a Sony Clie SL-10 (black and white, inverted (lights up text) green backlight -- but quite readable outside), moved on to a Palm Tungsten E2 (which I still have) running PalmFiction.

My current ebook setup uses FBReader on both a Nokia 770 and an OLPC; I usually read books on the OLPC, but it's nice having something pocket-sized). (I also have FBReader on my ThinkPad). The OLPC is *quite* nice, especially the DPI of the screen. (And the color is useful as well -- I have a huge archive of webcomics on it as well.)

As for the genres I'm into, I'm mostly into science fiction and fantasy, though after discovering Animorphs last year, I've been most into transformation and furry literature. Besides the usual collection of Creative Commons and Gutenberg books, I have all of the stories from Shifti and a few other transformation story sites in my ebook collection, as well as some of Greg Howell's stories, which I particularly enjoy. (I'm currently working my way through Light on Shattered Water.

So yeah... that's me, I guess. Anyone else here using OLPCs or have similar interests in literature?

Hiya! I'm probably not into OLPCs because I don't even know what it stands for. (But I'm a mac person, if that matters). Do check out the zillions and zillions (well, not *quite*) of books available for free right here on Mobileread!

The OLPC (aka the XO) is the $100 laptop those MIT guys were working on. (See http://www.laptop.org for more information.)

I haven't checked out the ebooks here yet. As for being a Mac person, well, I still have a 14" iBook G4 (as well as my ThinkPad and OLPC).
