Russell, William: Berlin Embassy, v1, 05 March 2009
Berlin Embassy is a personal account of an employee of the US Embassy in Berlin in the days just before and after the start of World War II. It is as if you are there, listening in as many Americans and others were trying to get out of Germany before the country was sealed off entirely.
This book was republished in 2006 with additional material and an introduction by William L. Shirer. But this ebook was derived from the original work published in 1941. This book did not have its copyright renewed, so it is in the public domain in the US. But since the author (born 1915) will still alive, it remains in copyright elsewhere. The original did not have a table of contents, and I did not add one. |
