palmOne LifeDrive RIP - Tungsten X emerges

We are almost stifling a yawn this time around, but yet more rumors have turned up of the forthcoming palmOne flagship device. We want the damn thing to finally come out! Anyways, according to Brighthand, there won't be a palmOne LifeDrive. Instead, the correct name is now rumored to be palmOne Tungsten X. Is palmOne perhaps suffering from schizophrenia?

Personally I like the 'Lifedrive' name more, though Tungsten X sounds more corporate-friendly.

X sounds like an Axim X50v without the 50v

Is it the letter X, or Roman numeral 10 along the lines of Apple OS X???

Either way, this device is intriguing...

Tungsten X

The LifeDrive name is actually the brand name for the built in 4GB hard disk, and the hand held device itself was always going to be called the Tungsten X. It appears it was just a case of mis-communication.

Thus it will be a Tungsten X with LifeDrive.... keeping everybody happy!

Man... someone should really check his sources... same source that spread the rumor on "Tungsten X" now switches the name back to LifeDrive. Nice way to get some attention, but please don't do that again
