Another Canuck new to Ebooks

Hello everybody,

I've been skimming through all of the avilable devices reviews and discussion and finally decided on a Sony PRS-700. I took the plunge and ordered it online and it arrived yesterday!

I got through a short book last night and found the experince to be as good as I'd hoped!

Thanks for all of your guidance and help in picking out a device that would suit me, indirect as it may have been. Hopefully I can contribute in turn.

Hi Basalt and welcome to the Forum. I got a 505 a year ago and like it a lot. And, if you're like me, you'll get addicted to the damn thing.

Hi there! I have the PRS-505 plus the lighted cover. (The closest I'm going to get to the 700 for a while!) My hubby was excited about the lighted cover since it meant I could read in the car at night without the dome light, map light or a flashlight glaring into his eyes. Interestingly, I haven't tried reading in bed with it.

What kind of books do you like? There's a ton of classics and not-so-classics available here at MobileRead just for the downloading. SF and Fantasy can be gotten from Baen -- start with the free books and then check out the additional titles they sell.

We're glad you've joined us here at MobileRead.
