You'll need to read more than a few posts, but the effort will be worth it.

Check out our Wiki, start here with the basics

then perhaps move to 'dedicated devices

https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_devices

then haunt the threads, and before you know it, you'll be as confused as anyone! Just kidding...

Jump in and ask questions, make notes, and really, before you know it you'll be saving up for your perfect device.
