It looks a bit large, for 6'' device, something like 2 cm thick.
Some interesting stuff in the bottom of the article : - Storage 1Gb - USB 2.0 Device, USB 1.1 Host EDIT : This USB host thing could maybe mean that it could load books directly from other storage, such as USB keys, provided the cables are the right ones. Or maybe it just means that it is able to connect via USB 1.1, which should be implied by USB 2.0 support ... Last edited by Gaurnim; 02-26-2009 at 07:12 AM. |

It's too big for any modern standards. Actually sony prs 505 is 260 grams but nuut2 has more extras.

It is rather thick.
What is the small one-line screen at the bottom of the device? |

Could it be a progress bar of some sort? Other than that it has a very retro look to it, kind of like a device someone might have in a 70's sci-fi movie vision of the future. Which appeals to me in a way ![]() |

Maybe the "bar" below is to display icons - looks like there are buttons above it.

Perhaps the thickness was an ergonomic decision?

It's good to see more devices with epub support. As far as design, I'd put it one notch above the original Kindle's looks.
Is this device targeted at the US market or somewhere else? I can't see that gaining much traction here going against the Kindle 2 and Sony 505/700. |
