Cool What to buy down under

G'day and thanks for the forum. I think this has been done to bits but:

Which of the ereaders is best for Australia?

Had a bebook which copped some friendly fire and is now unusable and cannot decide whether to stay or try another.

We are in our fourth day of 43degree heat (It is summer) and I need a new ebook. Gotta do something less strenuous than turn pages of a paper novel.

Thanks.

If you are questioning getting another one then I would say that you probably didn't like it all that much. If I were in Australia I would probably get a CyBook.

Sorry. I loved it. Just waiting on an insurance claim as OzPost seem to have misplaced my package back to The Netherlands. Love them too.
Can't buy another yet as I do not know whether ther replace or refund.

Welcome, and I'm sure you'll get sound advice here.

What do you like to read?

While you are here, would you mind doing our "What Country Are You From" poll?

PS.......watch out for the monkeys........:

I am a pretty avid reader. Like mysteries and John Grisham, Tom Clancy. We travel into Asia a few months a year (like their food and weather!!!) and found the ease and lightness of an ebook great. Do not care for anything else on it other than books.

I voted for Australia in the poll.

Apparently Tom Clancy's publishers have agreed to start releasing his books on several ebook formats ......

Hey Peter

Im in Brisvegas and have a SONy PRS-505 ...... I love it. I buy the vast majority of my books in Microsft Reader format, and I also have a few in Adobe digital editions.

This was my reader of choice because the Cybook and Iiliad were extrememly expensive here. I got my Sony from Ebay new for a great price and I have no complaints at all I love it so much it goes every where with me.

Cheers
Dawn

I'd probably go for the Cybook myself. Having my way again, I'd skip the Iliad and go for the Cybook most likely. Of course, "dictionary lookup" from within an ebook is an essential feature for me, so it's Irex/Iliad or Cybook from Oz.

I voted for Guy Sebastien (I'm watching Idol on repeats).

Welcome to the forum, Peter.
