Hello to every one!
Hi,
I move a lot and switched to reading mostly ebooks because books just take too much space.... I've been reading ebooks on a palm for some time but I'd like to have something a bit easier on the eyes so that's why I came to here... I'm planning on buying a reader soon so I'll probably ask your recommendations. |

To answer your questions @desertgrandma, I'm french but currently live in malaysia (and will soon move to china), I like reading historical fiction (I love Alexandre Dumas' work), science fiction (Frank Herbert, Heinlein, Asimov, Werber, Barjavel...), plays (Shakespeare, Moliere, Pagnol, Alfred de Musset) and programming books (programming is both my work and my hoby :-) ) I looked a bit around at the books uploaded here and I will definitely enjoy reading some of those books... @sweatpea, I already want to buy one reader like the iRex digital reader to read pdf books and a smaller reader like the HanLin v3. But I think I'll start first with the smaller reader and then see if I really need a huge monster like the iRex :-) Actually I wish I had paid more attention to the news and had known that the eink was a reality... I don't know how I missed the release of sony's reader... Especially since I was living in japan at that time, I should have seen it somewhere but alas not
 I read all of the dune books from Herbert multiple times (I guess about once every 2 years about) but didn't really like his son's prequels..... Last edited by giom; 01-28-2009 at 10:16 PM. |
