Serie info lost
I just installed Calibre 8.7 and just found out that all series info in metadata has been deleted and replaced by new. Not happy at all. Why and what can I do about this?

???
Was this a Calibre (program) Upgrade? Those use the existing Library and in over 10Years of upgrades, nothing has been 'lost'. Or did you use Add Books to populate a new PC with your old Library files? Add reads from the BOOK. That could lose data as The Library metadata(db) is where series and all other metadata is stored. That does NOT automatically propagate into the book files inside the Library (because some folk do not want those files modified) . You must EMBED into the book after making changes if you want to have Series and other custom data kept in the book) Do you still have the original Book SOURCES from before? |
