Before, when you would edit a book and opened a lot of tabs, the tabs would scroll leaving room for both the file list and the preview window. Now as tabs open, it pushes the two outer panes to the extremes so that they become unusable. Is this a bug or a setting that can be turned off? See the included image. This is on MacOS 26 on an M4 Pro. Last edited by Rushdie1234; 06-26-2025 at 10:07 PM. Reason: added machine/OS details |

Does not replicate for me on my mac. Tabs in the tab bar remain scrollable as always.

As I said, it's the beta, so maybe that's the difference? It's definitely not scrolling and locks those two other frames into the extreme. The fix is to not open too many tabs, but that's more of a temporary fix.

If apple broke something in their beta you should be reporting it to them, not here.

OK. I just figured if it was broken now then it might be broken when 26 officially releases, which means that many, many users will be suffering from this. Getting Apple to respond to a bug isn't a likely. But no worries.

I'm afraid I am not in the business of supporting beta OSes, I have quite enough on my plate already.

Go back to the latest release MacOS and see if you still have that problem with calibre. | |

I've run Windows and MacOS in pre-release versions and both Microsoft and Apple have been good about fixing issues with existing hardware and software. For MacOS, Feedback Assistant is likely the best way for you to report a bug.

It actually doesn't bother me. I only reported because there's a better than even chance that it will still be broken when the official release comes out. I just figured he'd want a heads-up.
