how to default all images to jpg when converting from pdf to epub

I have a pdf that I would like to convert to epub. It's quite a large file and has about 250 pages with lots of images. Whenever I convert it to epub many of the images defaults to png.

However, one of my main goal is to reduce the image size and that option is only application to jpg and webp.

Is there a way to make the PDF to EPUB conversion default to JPG? There are almost a thousand images hence manual conversion is out of the question.

no pdf input will just extract the images from the pdf in whatever format they were present in the pdf. it doesnt do image format conversion. if u search the forum you will find a thread about how to convert image formats easily in epub files which you can use to do the job quickly, post conversion.

thank you! Saw the thread on image conversion - finally found the solution -> just epub -> epub conversion with the "shrink images great than" input, nice!
