Send to device is no longer automatic
I read you silently and that's how I've managed to solve most of my problems so far, but this one is driving me crazy.
I've been using Calibre for almost 15 years to send books, first to my Kindles and now to my Kobo Clara and Libra Colour, without any problems. I just hit the send to device button. Suddenly, for a few days now, when I send a book, a window pops up asking me what format I want to send. I don't remember changing anything in the settings or in the driver, but who knows. I use Calibre 8.4, and the new unified driver for Kobo Touch and Extended has been working perfectly (I sent ePub and it was automatically converted to kepub) until a week ago. What could be happening? How do I fix it? ![]() |

right click the device icon and choose configure this device and make sure epub and kepub are ticked in the lsit fo formats to send to the device.

If you install and configure the Reading List plugin, you can easily make a list of what you want send to your Reader. Then when you plug in your Reader, these books will automatically be send to your Reader.

Thanks Jon, but the only thing I want is to recover the functionality I had until last week and that I don't know how I lost: that the send to device button works automatically, without asking what format to send.

Any chance you set the "default send to device action"? Your description sounds like it has been changed to "send specific format to" something. See the screen capture.
If this is what happened, change the default action back to "Send to main memory". |
