Error while editing and updating the metadata of the PDF file

I'm someone who isn't very tech-savvy or familiar with technical issues.
Occasionally, when I try to edit and update the metadata of a PDF file, I encounter problems where the metadata can't be embedded into the file. For example, I received this error:

calibre, version 8.4.0
Failed for some files: Failed to embed metadata into some book files. Click "Show details" for details.

The PDF format of *Thiền quán con đường của Tuệ giác*:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "calibre\utils\podofo\__init__.py", line 36, in set_metadata
...
podofo.Error: PdfErrorCode::InvalidXRef
Callstack:

From what I understand, this issue is caused by the file itself.
However, is there any way to repair or fix this problem? I'm not comfortable modifying files in technical or advanced ways.

It's caused by a damaged PDF file, there are various tools that can be used to repair PDF files but none built into calibre.
