I don't know what happened. Koreader was working well until a few minutes ago. It's a Kindle paperwhite 5, connected to wifi.

I was able to resolve this issue in the paper white 5 using the mrpi file, but I'm not able to solve this in the kindle 4 non touch and the kindle 3 keyboard even after I re installed mkk as adviced...

i'm experiencing the same thing with my K4
i Exited KOReader and couldn't go back into KUAL anymore
i have reset factoried and re-jailbroken the device but still getting the error
im assuming there is a problem with the Certs in mkk and they are not working anymore

same issue here on k3. tried to get back into kual and bam. "the permissions to open the requested title have expired. Please contact customer service"

edit: the screensaver hack stopped working as well

I have a temporary workaround that worked on a K3 - resetting the device date manually to an earlier one.

I'm guessing this only works if USBNetwork was previously installed? I tried to follow this guide but that depends on KUAL being able to handle the installation, if I'm not misunderstanding.. woops?
All because I needed to add ONE more book to my Kindle and closing Koreader..

I'm on a PW2 but from my understanding that should use the same method as PW3?

Actually there's a way to install the usbnetwork hack without KUAL. See this post. That post also has a shortcut to change the time without even installing the hack. I also wrote up long and probably redundant instructions for how to use usbnetworking after installation here if you don't want to use the bin file shortcut.

BUT: It looks like NiLuJe updated the KUAL files here and also attached updated certifications here, which should make all of this unnecessary

the updated certifications worked with the kindle 3 keyboard but im getting "An error occurred: main class instantiation threw a RuntimeException. Please contact the developer." with the Kindle 4 NT

nevermind I just needed to uninstall the hotfix bin file included in the KUAL compressed file that actually does nothing in older kindles but cause trouble

I uninstalled it by holding and clicking delete this item as i would delete a book

Is there any way to to avoid future keystore expiry? This expiry from 17 April 2025 was fixed by NiLuJe, but as the fix still depends on developer certificates and signing KUAL, what are we going to do about future expiry? There is a non-zero possibility that NiLuJe will eventually not be around to fix it, or the certificate authority might stop issuing certificates.
