so hiii everyone! im lera!

i'm a person tired of what the modern web has become and i found my escape in the indie web culture (i have a website :3) and it warms my heart so much that there exists such an active forum here! i'd love to be a part of this community ^^

in relation to ebooks and reading, i've had an e-reader ever since i was a child and i read fanatically, mainly fantasy :3 it broke in about 2020 plus i went to university and had little time to read and this kinda broke my habits but im trying to get back there now new e-reader and all! lately i mostly read psychedelic literature, biographies and accounts related to the history of psychedelics and the hippie counterculture (that's my special interest as of late :3), plus a certain series of plant alien scifi

i write a little bit, but very slowly, but i've already seen you have a writer's corner and i'm excited about that too!

overall, very happy to have found this corner of the internet and to meet y'all!

i have to warn in advance, that series is very nsfw-heavy and kinky down to the very foundations of its setting, so if you don't vibe with that or the specific themes each story explores (a.k.a. the tags) it's better not to go there :D it's kind of a love it or hate it type situation

but i find it really great! it's called the human domestication guide, and it's about a very advanced plant civilisation saving humanity from the horrors of itself and caring for us ever after in their post-scarcity society. it's my comfort reading when i feel alone and scared by how the modern world goes ><

it's not very defined as a "book series" as it's a shared universe of original internet publications by an open collective of authors. most of it is published on archive of our own!

I was able to find it easily by searching for human domestication guide ao3. I don't think we can post a direct link without violating the forum guidelines for maintaining a family-safe and work-safe website.

yes!

that's the website they have and from there one can find links to some principal foundational stories, after that it's up to browsing ao3 in this setting's subsection or asking around the community cause there's really a lot in there and no definitive reading order :3 my e-reader has like 4 pages of HDG books and i haven't read even a small portion of them! but as for my picks, i really liked "no gods, no masters" by kanagen and "for a better universe" by sapphicsounds (both on ]the list of foundational works) as well as "through the looking glass" by pyxxiestyxx. i also started reading "divaricated" by annabool, but i still have to finish this one before giving reviews!

i'm sorry, i'm still figuring some stuff out :D like how does one delete a message or why a part of my submissions need premoderation but others are published right away. or this colour tag! i had no ide it existed before just now, so thank you for showing it! ^^
