Is there any way to set reminders in Calibre so they pop-up when you next open Calibre after the due date?

I have a few stub file entries of upcoming book releases. I've missed the first couple this year (no big deal) but it got me wondering if I could get a pop-up reminder as they fall due and I next start Calibre.

Probably dating myself but this is beginning to remind me of the 123 users who did things such as writing a modem communication program and basic line drawing graphics tools in 123. For now, my phone works well and does not require my computer to be on to get reminders, etc.

I keep my phone disconnected 95% of the time when I'm home. Yet lately I found my mobile operator sending these SIM Kit originated messages that awaken it up and keep its screen on until i dismiss them. If I could leave it on airplane mode, this is what I would do however I need to be available for important calls.

I found your plugin interesting but as I said, not of much interest to me. I keep my phone on basically 24/7. So far I haven't had any issues other than the usual spam phone calls (Caller ID is handy there since they seem to love using the same area code and prefix as my phone) and spim instant messages which are not all that common. Since my spouse and I share calendars, we are pretty much locked in.
