lwn.net subscriber RSS for weekly ePubs

Hi there,

There are the builtin recipes for lwn (which seem to be broken at the moment for subscribers, even with the fix mentioned in the recent thread).

However, lwn.net now create ePubs of the weekly edition and provide an RSS feed linking to these.

Is there a way I can adapt the BasicNewsRecipe class to just grab the latest ePub from that feed directly and save it, skipping any of the conversion from HTML stuff?

The RSS item.link content is simply a link to the epub file and I guess you need to be logged in, as the URL looks generic with no subscriber token.

Sure you can there are many such recipes already for example Dwutygodnik or zeitde_sub or nrcnext and so on.

Thanks for the pointers - I managed to get it working by adapting dwutygodnik and finding the link in the (logged in) page for the EPUB, as that was more straightforward.

I don't have a github account to raise a pull request, so I have attached the recipe if anyone else may find it useful.
