				table captions not displayed correctly

			Hello,

I have several ePubs which are rendering "table captions" incorrectly by displaying the text vertically. The problem exists both on the ereader (Kobo) and in Calibre ePub viewer, so I guess it must be a code issue. Please refer to the screenshots to visualize the problem. Any suggestion where I could start my investigation to fix that issue? Thanks in advance for your support. |

How many columns are in the table?

How wide are the columns? I think what has happened is that there are too many columns so their width has been reduced forcing text to be wrapped. Rather than displaying a screen shot of the CSS, it might be more useful to display the actual table definition (and ideally in a copy / paste from the ebook source and not as a screen shot). Thanks. Here is what the full table looks like. The table itself is fine, only the "caption" has the issue

I found that in the "less_space" class, there is a parameter "white-space: pre-wrap;". If I comment out that line, the formatting is correct. Now trying to find out what that line means... but I actually have a solution :-) |
