According to this review the screen has been upgraded. It's better than the usual Guardian review, but still poor.

They suggest asking for a replacement if you have the original.

You misunderstood the article. It's referring to the color screen of the Colorsoft as an upgrade over the B&W screens. It isn't referring to a MKII screen.
