I have several comics on my KLC, but I mostly read books using the standard Nickel UI. However, I use KOReader for comics. Is it possible to filter out the comics (CBZ/CBR) in Nickel (and vice versa, (k)epub in KOReader) for easy of mind (and to satisfy my ginormeous OCD when it comes to ebooks)?
Edit: I sideload all (k)epubs and comics using Calibre; no online sync to a store whatsoever Last edited by jacobfresco; 03-11-2025 at 06:54 AM. Reason: Added explanation |

Yes, you can make a folder on your Kobo named something like .library
Because it begins with a dot, it is ignored by Nickel. Then set your Koreader to use .library as the home directory (just browse to it and long press on it, the option is there) |

One method might be to set the ExcludeSyncFolders to prevent Nickel from scanning the location where comics are stored; similarly there must be a setting in KOReader to filter out the location where ePubs / kepubs are stored.
Search the forums for more info on the ExcludeSyncFolders settings. Of course, you'll also need to configure calibre and it's locations for storing content. I seem to remember that people have posted examples of configuring different locations based on file type. |
