Murderbot TV Serie coming to Apple TV
Murderbot has been made into a TV series and will premier on Apple TV on May 16, 2025. It's based on the Murderbot series by Martha Well. The books are excellent and I'm hoping the series well be as well.

The books are excellent. That's not just my opinion -- they've won multiple awards, etc. You won't have any trouble finding reviews online.


I'm cautiously optimistic and really looking forward to the series, but I'm not very impressed by the helmet. I do wish they'd stuck a little closer to the helmet and armor of the cover illustrations.

I agree the books are excellent.
It is a good thing I read, because the TV gets so little use I even cancelled Cable (200 channels of nothing I wanted to watch anyway).

I don't buy into Apple ecosystem.

Two of my neighbours recently cancelled their cable subscription to go with streaming instead. Sadly, they found one evening of bingeing 4K shows had exceeded their data cap for the month. Nice people but they didn't realize that cancelling their Internet subscription not only cancelled their cable TV but also their Internet connection so they were streaming from their cellphones to the TV. Hmmmm 50GB plan, ~18GB/hour, 3 hours and you're out.

They did it pretty well with Dexter, IMO. Granted, the Murderbot is far more reticent than Dexter, so there are more inner thoughts.
