Forma 8 Night mode
I recently bought this reader.
I am surprised to see that it has no night, dark mode. It is good that it has its own lighting. For me, two things are missing. One is the ability to turn the lights off when not needed. The other, perhaps more important, is to have white letters appear on a black background when I want to read in bed at night. There is no need for unnecessary light, and it is enough if only I can see the text and it does not disturb the person who wants to sleep next to me. If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate it. ![]() ![]() |

Look in the Kobo Reader forum for the NickelMenu thread. With NickelMenu, you can get night/dark mode.

Yep, KoReader launched with nickel menu. That's what I use when reading at night.
Light on at 1% and inverted mode (white letters, black background). You can install it easily with the 1 click install package. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...95&postcount=1 |

NickelMenu creates a launcher for Koreader on the bottom right of your screen.
Then with Koreader you have a fully featured reader that lets you fine tune your reading parameters, supports sleep mode, etc.... you basically never need to get back to the stock Kobo interface. Last edited by Anghirrim; 02-26-2025 at 03:24 PM. |
