How to transfer EPUB books to Kobo app

Hi,

I do not have a Kobo Reader. I have the Kobo app installed on my desktop and on my iPad. Is there any way to upload the EPUB books I have on my computer to one of these apps?

Thanks,

Bernard

The only advice I would give you is to NOT use the KOBO app on iOS.

It’s slow and laggy. Use the Apple Books app instead, it’s a much more pleasant experience…

If you are interested in listening to AudioBooks with EPUB3 Media Overlays download BookFusion from the AppStore. You can have 10 books simultaneously side-loaded into the app without having to pay for any subscription.

Does your iPad have a USB-C connector or still a Lightning port?

I would not use the Books app. It's (IMHO) awful.

Give BookFusion a go. I use that and it works well on my iPhone and iPad.

The only issue I have with BookFusion is that it doesn’t respect page breaks and a few other formatting things.

But it supports e.g. interactive books which means reading and listening along at the same time in one single app or multilingual books if you are into that and many other neat things.

I do respect if it is not your cup of tea but I am curious why you would call it ‘awful’?

It has page mode, it has scroll mode which can come in very handy for certain content, it is also completely interactive which allows for many different reading and listening experiences.

Except for some typical Apple quirks which they inevitably have to implement in every App they release it is a decent eReader in my opinion.

It is fast and responsive unlike the KOBO app, the sepia background is pleasant to the eye, it respects some accessibility features but in my opinion this is another weak point.

The big fuzz Apple make about their commitment to supporting accessibility is not justified.

Their screenreader lacks just to many standard features, gets utterly confused by language shifts despite proper mark-up and many Aria attributes are just not respected, so navigating for people with print disabilities is not a pleasant experience I suppose. But most of these folks are just so happy to have anything at all.

But in my opinion Apple is ridiculously bad in this domain.
