Problems after restoring database

Hi

After restoring my database (deleted by mistake) it turns out that many folders containing 2 different file types (e.g. a docx file and an epub file) are no longer recognised correctly by the software. The folders are OK in the finder and the titles appear in the library but the formats are unavailable. Some files are OK, some are not. Apart from adding again these files one by one (I have at least 200 of them), I wonder if anyone who has experienced the same problem has found a trick?

Here's an extract from the restoration report:

Failed to restore the books in the following folders:
/Users/admin/Bibliothèque calibre/Francis Ponge/Pieces (1923) with error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages/calibre/db/restore.py", line 258, in restore_books

File "site-packages/calibre/db/backend.py", line 886, in executemany
File "src/cursor.c", line 236, in resetcursor
ConstraintError: ConstraintError: UNIQUE constraint failed: data.book, data.format

I am on MacOs 10.13.6 and Calibre 3.48.0 (the maximum on this OS)

Thanks in advance

Restoration is very much best effort depending on the state of the underlying data, it may or may not succeed 100%. You can use the Library maintenance tool to identify any left over problems and then fix them manually.
