What does it mean when the Digital Content page says "Update Available"?
I was just collecting a library book for download when I saw this link under the listed book.

This was one of the Hyperion Cantos books and so is somewhat dated; I doubt that the author has revised it. If that's the case, what might be included in an update to the digital file?

It might be something as simple as correct some spelling errors or errors in the Table of Contents.

Most of the time they are updating the cover or adding to the list of books. You know most books has a page listing other books by the author. Updates are relatively minor.

The first book and the Hyperion Cantos series was a really bad OCR. It's first update was far from minor.

Occasionally, due to complaints, an updated version is fixing atrocious formatting. Amazon's auto checking tools can let serious junk past.
