what kindles have button layout like the oasis’s 9th gen

my friend was asking

what kindles besides the oasis have the power button on the top and the charging port at the bottom

she likes that layout

and like the page turning buttons

i havent heared of any recent kindles that have this other then the oasis.

can anybody help. she writing something at university and she says that
that layout is best for her disability.


she has an old kindle but like me wants to update before her current kindle dies

Unfortunately Amazon has ruled that buttons are unnecessary on current and future Kindles. The only other slightly modern Kindle that has buttons is the Voyage. It is different in that the buttons are haptic and are on both sides of the screen. The power button is on the back towards the top of the device.

Does the oasis really have the power button at the top and charging port at the bottom? Or perhaps it has the power button at the bottom and the charging port at the top… is the glass half full or half empty?

For the Oasis 2 and Oasis 3, it depends on what you mean by top and bottom. The left handed might have a different perspective than the right handed.

The default orientation is turn buttons on the right and power button on top. It can be used in either orientation, but will always power up as if the buttons are on the right side.

thanks for the info i pass it on to my friend i did find a page turner on amazon so i’ll suggest that as well. but don’t remember if it works for kindle

If its one of those clip to the side of your screen ones and you hold a clicker it'll work with any e reader that has a capacitive screen.

that the one i saw thats useful to no also we were trying covers and my tech gear case which is for the 6” paper white fits my new signature 11th gen paper white .

this case has elastic corners . so if ur upgrading to a 6.8 paper white and cant find a case while ur looking try your old case see if it fits

as for my new case

any idea how to attach a strap the cover is sliding open so kindle is turning on
and i like use my new case eventually after this problem is fixed

You cannot say future Kindles. You do not know what Amazon has in mind for future Kindles.

They said it in an interview. They have no plans to release a Kindle with buttons.
