Failed to export data

When I try to make a backup of my library I get the error message in the attached screenshot.

Does anybody know what I cn do to get past this? I've tried both with a brand-new USB stick and with my NAS.

It always happens at the same point, part-0090 is 843 KB.

I have run the check on the database, no errors there

with kind regards,
Bent

If you have the space on your hard drive, can you create the library export there? If you try running calibre as administrator, does the export then work?

Thank you for your suggetions
I've tried running Calibre as Adminstrator now and going the export both to local harddrive and to USB stick and the same error occur at exactly the same point.

part-0090 is 864*092*160 bytes when the error hits.

Could this somehow be content related? Is there are type of debugging info which could tell which book the export is working on when it fails?

It's a permission denied error which means calibre issued a write request to the kernel and the kernel replied saying its not allowed to write. Sadly there's no way to know why, typically this happens when an antivirus/security program interferes or some other program opens and therefore locks a file calibre is working with. You can try rebooting in safe mode and see if it works.

Thank you for your explanation. And thank you for starting this fantastic project!

It turned out to be an underlying problem: error in the actual filesystem.

Running
Quote:
chkdsk /r /scan
pointed to 2 titles with issues. After deleting those 2 titles, I could redo the backup and it completed.

with kind regards,
