EPUBs to Kindle
I transitioned my preferred reader to Kindle for Android when Amazon’s Send to Kindle became easier to sideload EPUBs. I have always like the Page Flip ability. To me, it feels more like reading an actual book. I also appreciated the seemless Dictionary, Translate, and Wikipedia as soon as I highlight a word. I have found I much prefer the Highlight and Note functions on a tablet compared to my Kindle Paperwhite. (I need a swipe keyboard.)
Prior to this transition, I was reading EPUBs on my Android tablet using FBReader. I liked its ability to upload books to Google Drive and the ability to quickly see metadata and summary in Book Info. When I read Kindle books I enjoy the Time Left in Chapter. If I convert an EPUB to AZW3 in Calibre and sideload it to my Kindle Fire I get: • Time Left in Chapter but I do not get: • Page Flip When I send an EPUB to Kindle on my Fire I get: • Page Flip but I do not get: • Time Left in Chapter Is there a straightforward way to get both when I read EPUBs sideloaded to Kindle for Android? Similarly, Is there a method to migrate metadata to Kindle's About this Book? |
