I use Kindle Comic Converter 5.6.5, KOReader 2023.10, Kindle PW5
So, after I convert CBZ to ePub using KCC and open it on my Kindle after every other page I get a blank one and number of pages are doubled. Also manga mode doesn't work (right to left reading) and on the first page I have this weird text on the right side of a screen, which is a file name. When I open it using 7zip there's actually no additional pages. When I change to continuous reading this is what it looks like with every page turn counts as 2. This is happening for every converted ePub I have. I've seen people mentioning Calibre, but it happens even if I drag and drop using windows file manager. If you open this ePub file through Calibre viewer it works fine as intended, no empty pages, no weird text and manga mode also works. |

Many things:
1) Do not convert manga to ePub, convert to CBZ. 2) You need dithering script to make images look better on eink and KOReader faster. 3) “Manga mode” in KCC is only for Kindle targets. In KOReader use “Tweak document settings” to set right-to-left page turn direction. 4) Side text in epub is the so-called “reference pages”, turn them off in top menu. I can provide scripts and details about tweaking document settings later, I am on mobile now. Meanwhile please go to KOReader github page to find: User guide (link is on main page) and Wiki. |

The issue I have with applying your advice is that I currently have not jailbroken my Kindle/have KOReader on it. I was wondering if you'd been able to address OP's issues without it, or alternatively if you think it's not worth the effort getting/formatting manga onto a Kindle without KOR? Thanks ![]() |
